Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) is a public university, was established in 1966 and has 18 schools comprising 72 departments, and 109 affiliated colleges.

Eligibility for MCA Entrance

- You should be Graduate in any discipline with Mathematics as compulsory subject at 10+2 level
OR
Graduate in Computer Science / Computer Applications / Software / IT

-The candidates who have not studied Mathematics at +2 level but having studied the subjects:
Business Mathematics
Business Mathematics & Operational Research
Operations Research
Business Mathematics and Statistics
Numerical Methods and Mathematics
only at graduate level are not eligible to apply.

Course Requirements
- You should have studied under 10+2+3 or 10+1+4 or 10+3+2 pattern

Course Outlines for Entrance Test:
The entrance test will cover --
30% components of Mathematics at the 10+2 level,
30% components of logical reasoning/analytical ability at the level of bachelor's degree,
10% components of proficiency in English at the level of Bachelor's Degree and a component of knowledge of computers and computer application at introductory level constituting 30%.

Matrix operations, Definition and properties of determinats, Cofactors, Adjoint, Elementry Transformations, Rank and inverse of a Matrix, Matrix Polynomial, Characteristic Equations,Eigen Values, Latent Vectors, Caylay Hamilton theorem, Linear system of Equations.

Theory Of Equations
Polynomials and their charcteristics, Roots of an equation, Relations between Roots and Coefficients,Transformation of Equations, Symmetric function etc.
