The Karnataka State Women’s University, Bijapur was based in August 2003 is the alone university in the state of Karnataka (India), which is committed exclusively for women’s teaching. The primary centering is on empowerment of women by education, especially higher education and educating. It has delegation to encourage personality growth and leadership qualities with a balanced outlook towards society. The university is located in Bijapur district and all women’s colleges in twelve northern districts of Karnataka lots of which are among the poor and backward districts of Karnataka are associated to it. It also provides twenty PG Courses, PG Diploma and Certificate Courses in the Faculties of Arts, Commerce and Management, Social Sciences, Science and Technology and Education.
