I want to take admission in Columbia Business School for JD MBA but I have no idea about the elective of I year and deadlines for Columbia Business School. The Four-Year J.D./M.B.A. Program enables to earn a J.D. from Columbia Law School and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School in four consecutive years. The program is designed for one interested in a broad course curriculum, extracurricular activities in both disciplines, and the opportunity to work during 3 summers in law and business placements. One spends 5 terms enrolled at the Law School and 3 terms enrolled at the Business School. Application Process and Timeline Applications for admission to the Program must be filed separately at each school. Each school’s admissions decisions are based solely on that school’s selection criteria and are determined independently. One can indicate the interest in pursuing the program in the initial application to the Law School, but are not required to do so. One is eligible to apply during either the 1L or 2L year at the Law School or during their first year at the Business School. One can also apply to both the Law School and the Business School simultaneously, but one has to spend the first year of the program at the Business School and to defer matriculation to the Law School for one year, since the Business School does not allow deferred matriculation. The Law School renders decisions on a rolling basis, but generally after February 15 and no later than April 30 of each admissions cycle. The Business School generally renders decisions within six to eight weeks following the completion of an application. Cost and Financial Aid Tuition for students in the Program is based on where a student is in residence during a given semester. One will be charged standard Law School tuition for semesters one spends at the Law School and standard Business School tuition for semesters one spends at the Business School. At the time prospective students apply (separately) to the Law School and to the Business School, one will also need to submit all financial aid documents required by each school. Each school’s financial aid office will award financial aid packages separately and only for the terms in which a student will be in residence at its school. |
