I am sharing the syllabus and structure of Birla Institute of Technology & Sciences Admission Test for your reference. The syllabus includes physics, chemistry, mathematics and English. The questions of the examination will be of objective type and there will be 150 questions with 4 alternatives. For more details you can download the word file provided.

I have decided to take admission in the BITS and for this I know I have to give the entrance exam. Will you please provide me all the details related to this entrance exam also provide me important dates for the BITSAT exam which is conducting this year?

BITSAT is conducted by the BITS Pilani University for admissions to the various engineering courses to the BITS Pilani, BITS Goa and BITS Hyderabad campuses.

Entrance BITS Eligibility:

You must have passed Class XII under the 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent.

You must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class XII to be eligible for BITSAT 2015.

You must have secured a minimum of 75% in aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in Class XII or equivalent.

You must also have secured a minimum of 60% in each subject (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics)

You must be proficient in English.

Those who have passed the 10+2 exams in 2014 are eligible to appear for BITSAT 2015.

Those who will be appearing for their Class XII exam or equivalent in 2015 are also eligible to appear for BITSAT 2015.

BITSAT Test Format

It is a 3 hour test, offered to candidates on computers at dedicated centers in different cities in India and at the Dubai campus

The test consists of four parts:

Part I: Physics

Part II: Chemistry

Part III: (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning

Part IV: Mathematics or Biology (For B. Pharm candidates)

All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with choice of four answers, only one being correct choice

Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1mark). No marks are awarded for questions not attempted

BITSAT Important Dates and Deadlines (As this year the dates were gone you can apply for the same next year)

Deadline to Apply for BITSAT-2015: 20th February 2015
Test center allotment and announcement to candidates: 25th February 2015
Candidates to reserve Test dates: 01st March - 21st March 2015
Candidates to download the Hall tickets with instructions: 15th April - 30th April 2015
BITSAT Online Tests: 14th May - 29th May 2015
Candidates to apply for admission with 12th class marks and Preferences to Degree Programs: 20th May - 30th June 2015
Admit list & Wait list Announcement: 01st July 2015
