Hello, I want to know how the ESI calculation is done. Can you provide me the information that on which basis the ESI calculation is done?

Here I am giving you ESIC calculation in india as below:-

ESIC calculation:
The ESIC has medical benefit both for the employee and employer.
Here I am giving you a example taking a salary of 12,000/- per month.
Employee side - 1.75%
Employer side - 4.75%.
So if the gross of an employee is 12000/- P.M his contribution would be 12000*1.75% = 210/-
Employer 12000*4.75% = 570/-
Therefore Net pay = Gross pay - Total deductions

A PERSON IS EARNING 5000 PM
AND HE IS ABSENT FOR 15DAYS I.E HE WILL RECEIVE SALARY OF 2500.,THEN IN THAT MONTH SHOULD I DEDUCT ESI .
SINCE RULE 52 OF ESI CENTRAL RULES STATES THAT WAGES SHOULD BE UPTO RS.100 PER DAY I.E 2600 P.M(EXCLUDING SUNDAY) .
IN THIS CASE EMPLOYEE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ESI OR NOT
ON WHICH AMOUNT ESI IS DEDUCTED 5000 OR 2500

PLEASE CLEAR MY DOUBTS
