Madurai Kamaraj University, founded in 1966, has 18 Schools constituting 73 Departments. The Directorate of Distance Education of the University has student strength of about 1.30 lakhs. It is offered PHD program. It is provide the good placement with good knowledge & skills for our students. For admission in PhD at Madurai Kamaraj University the candidates must have any Post graduate degree from this or other recognized universities with not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate and have work experience of minimum three years shall be eligible for registering for Ph.D.
Candidates with CSIR / UGC / ICMR / ICAR /JRF / SRF shall be admitted for Ph.D. directly.

Cost of Application form is 200 and the course fees/Tuition fees Rs.1,200/- (per year) or (Rs. 650/- per semester)

This university gives the facility of the hostels also and there are five men's hostels (accommodating 724) and three women's Hostels (accommodating 356) Post Graduate Students.

This is Jaffar from Sultanate of Oman and i supposed to be an Indian Citizen, recently i came to Oman for Employment purpose however i have completed my M.com ; M.B.A ( Finance ) & M.Phil in commerce hence seeking for Ph.d Admission for this December Session. As i have read your Application form and eligibilty criteria and found to be fit enough to take up Phd ( Part-Time ) External programme.

I have seen the dead line date which is on 31st October 2011 hence i could n't apply in such date so kindly advise me the procedure or redirect me to concerned department to sort this out and if it is possible for you to offer the course this period kindly help me in this regard based upon that i can arrange the other formalities like sending the application with DD-Annual Fee and other prescribed stuff.

Also i enquired with one of my Professor- Dr.Syed Rafiq Ahmed who was working with "The New College, University of Madras , and currently residing in Oman for my guideship however he directed me to your university to check the eligibilty criteria and all stuff hence i have drafted this email to solicit your support and assistance.If you require any additional information or documents please feel free to ask me at any time where in time would n't be a concern for me.

Right now i am working as a Accounts Manager in a concern based in Sultanate of Oman hence will be able to come to India once in a Year, Kindly advise me in favour of my request
