SBI Bank Fixed Deposit Interest Rate
Interest rate of various State Bank of India fixed deposit scheme has declined from its max out deposit rates. SBI has announced cutoff of up to 50 basis points in idiom deposit rates of several schemes. The current term deposit rates on different maturities.

Tenure and Interest Rate are given below:

15 days - 45 days 4%
46 days - 90 days 5%
91 days - 180 days 6.25%
181 days - less than 1 years 7%
1 year - les than 2 years 7.75%
2 years - less than 1000 days 8%
1000 days 8.25%
1001 - Less than 3 years
3 years - less than 5 years 8%
5 years - less than 8 years 8.25%/td>

The State Bank of India was inaugurated on 1 July 1956, it is considered as one of the leading bank in the banking sector. The products of this bank are Credit cards, finance and insurance, consumer banking, corporate banking, private banking, investment banking, mortgage loans, wealth management.

NRE FIXED DEPOSITS
Tenor for ‘below rs. 1 crore’ for ‘rs 1 crore & above’
(w.e.f. 20th september 2013) (w.e.f. 01st november 2013)
1 year to less than 2 years 9.00% 8.25%
2 years and up to 10 years 9.00% 8.50%

State Bank of India is a government bank having over 14,000 branches spread across India. Bank also having its 150 branches in over 30 countries. SBI offers Fix Deposit plan , which is an saving solution for customers .

Short-term Fixed Deposit Interest Rates


SBI offers short-term deposits :
5.5% p.a. - 8.0% p.a., quarterly compounded.

Medium and Long-term Fixed Deposit Interest Rate

Tenures of more than a year -up to 5 years:
8.0% p.a. -8.25% p.a.

Features of SBI fixed deposit schemes:

Tax benefits under section 80C

Extra interest of 0.25% payable to senior citizens

Loan and overdraft facilities of up to 90% of the deposited amount

Auto-renewal facility when a maturity period has not been defined

Linking of TDRs to saving / current account to allow periodic withdrawal of interest earned

Nomination facilities

Interest rates will remain the same as they were at the time of opening the FD regardless of changes made to the scheme after the FD was opened.

New interest rates will be applicable only on renewal of the deposit.

No limits on the amount that can be invested.
