Hi buddy here I have come to collect info related to Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) and Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (Karnataka PGCET) , so will you plz let me know about both ??

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is the common entrance examination open for All India candidates.

Key dates

Registration Opens from 23rd May 2017
Registration End Date 21st July 2017 (Extended)
Admit Card Issue Date 27th July 2017
KMAT 2017 Exam Date 30th July 2017
Result Announcement 9th August 2017

Bachelor degree (3 years duration)/master degree in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent.
Minimum Marks:Qualifying examination must be passed with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).

Exam Pattern

KMAT is the paper pen based test.

It contains 120 multiple choice questions divided into three sections.

The duration of the exam was 120 minutes.

There was no sectional time limit in KMAT 2017.

Candidates can switch from one section to another section easily. Each correct answer carries 4 marks and for every wrong answer, there is a deduction of one mark.

The test structure of KMAT is as follows:

Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (Karnataka PGCET) is the state level entrance test conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

Last date to apply online 5th June 2017 (Extended)
Last date to pay the fees in specified bank 6th June 2017 (banking hours)
Admission ticket downloading from 26th June 2017
Examination Date 1st July 2017 (ME/M.Tech/M.Arch) & 2nd July 2017 (MCA/MBA)
Answer key release 13th July 2017
Result Announcement 21st August 2017
Document verification starts from 23rd August 2017
Option entry starts 5th September 2017
2nd counselling starts 23rd September 2017

Application Fee:

For OBC and General Candidates – Rs. 650/-
For SC/ST Category Candidates – Rs. 500/-

Undergraduate examination with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Applications or Computer Programming or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects with 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST and Category – I candidates) are eligible to apply for full-time MCA course.

Exam Pattern
For M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch Courses:

Question paper will consist of Part-1 and Part-2. Part-1 contains 50 questions and part-2 contains 25 questions.

Each question of part-1 will be of 1 mark and each question of part-2 carries 2 marks. Question paper of M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch is of total 100 marks.

For MBA Course:

Examination conducted for MBA course will consist of 100 marks.

Applicants have to answer the questions in the time period of 150 minutes.

The type of question paper is objective type containing four different options. Each question carries one mark.
