Default Re: Role Of Gphc

General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is the body responsible for the independent regulation of the pharmacy profession within England, Scotland and Wales, responsible for the regulation of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises.

As you asking I am telling General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) role as regulator is to:

Set standards for conduct, ethics, proficiency, education and training, and for continuing professional development (CPD)

Set standards for pharmacy owners and superintendent pharmacists and inspect pharmacy premises.

Maintain a register of all practising pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, requiring all registrants to self-certify on an annual basis that they are fit to continue to practise

Monitor, and where appropriate, take action on professionals' fitness to practise.
