The NRLC is a group of investigators who use a translational approach to research that incorporates areas of behavioral, biological, physiological, and clinical approaches. Objective : The overriding purpose of the NRLC is to increase the understanding of the behavioral, biological, and physiological processes that lead to maladaptive behaviors such as impulsivity, suicide, fighting, alcohol, marijuana, and other drug abuse. Treatment Services The MATTERS program provides treatment to adults who have experienced alcohol-related driving offenses (e.g. DWI or DUI). Treatment is delivered at no cost to adults with DWI's to reduce harmful alcohol use. Treatment services include: risk assessment, motivational enhancement, contingency management, individual therapy, and alcohol monitoring. Team Members : Donald M.
