Exam pattern
MTSE paper consists of 50-objective questions with four alternatives answers to be completed in 90 minutes time on either an OMR answer sheet or online.

Important: A correct answer is awarded 2 marks, whereas a wrong answer carries a penalty of ½ marks, except for classes III and IV.

Syllabus

Class III :
Number Sequence up to 1000, Arithmetic Operations, Mathematical Expressions, Fractions, Measurement, Currency, Length, Weight, Volume, Time, Geometrical Concepts

Class IV :
Number Sequence up to five digits, Roman Numerals, Divisibility, Arithmetic Operations, Mathematical Expressions, Brackets, Fractions and Decimals, Measurement, Currency, Length, Weight, Volume, Time, Angles, Geometrical Concepts.

Class V :
Number Sequence up to nine digits, Roman Numerals, Divisibility, Arithmetic Operations, Mathematical Expressions, Brackets, GCD and LCM, Fractions and Decimals, Average, Profit and Loss, Percentage, Interest, Measurement, Currency, Length, Weight, Volume and Area, Time, Distance and Speed, Angles, Circles, Geometrical Concepts.

Class VI :
Integer, Roman Numerals, Divisibility, Arithmetic Operations, Mathematical Expressions, Brackets, Indices, Ratio and Proportion, GCD and LCM, Fractions and Decimals, Average, Profit and Loss, Percentage, Interest, Measurement, Currency, Length, Weight, Volume and Area, Time, Distance and Speed, Angles, Circles, Triangles, Consruction, Geometrical Concepts, Graphs.

Class VII :
Rational Numbers, Roman Numerals, Divisibility, Arithmetic Operations, Mathematical Expressions, Brackets, Indices, Variation, GCD and LCM, Fractions and Decimals, Pythagoras Theorem, Average, Profit and Loss, Percentage, Interest, Measurement, Currency, Length and Weight, Volume, Area and Surface Area, Time, Distance and Speed, Angles, Circles, Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Symmetry, Congruence, Consruction, Geometrical Concepts, Graphs.

Class VIII :
Real Numbers, Divisibility, Arithmetic Operations, Mathematical Expressions, Brackets, Indices, Variation, GCD and LCM, Fractions and Decimals, Pythagoras Theorem, Simultaneous Equation, Quadratic Equation, Average, Profit and Loss, Percentage, Compound Interest, Measurement, Length and Weight, Volume, Area and Surface Area, Time, Distance and Speed, Banking, Angles, Circles, Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Symmetry, Similarity and Congruence, Consruction, Co-ordinate Geometry, Geometrical Concepts, Statistics, Graphs.

Class IX :
Real Numbers, Surds, Sets, Divisibility, Arithmetic Operations, Mathematical Expressions, Brackets, Indices, Variation, GCD and LCM, Fractions and Decimals, Pythagoras Theorem, Polynomials, Simultaneous Equation, Quadratic Equation, Average, Profit and Loss, Percentage, Compound Interest, Measurement, Length and Weight, Volume, Area and Surface Area, Time, Distance and Speed, Banking and Transactions, Trigonometry, Angles, Circles, Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Parallelogram, Symmetry, Similarity and Congruence, Consruction, Co-ordinate Geometry, Geometrical Concepts, Statistics, Graphs.

Tentative dates
Last date to Register Third week of November 2017
MTSE Admit Card Third week of January 2018
MTSE Exam Date Last week of January 2018
MTSE Result Declaration Last week of April 2018
Distribution of Marksheet by the Schools Last week of June 2018

Reward
The top 5 rank holders of each class are awarded mementoes and cash prize as follows:
1st prize in each class of Rs. 2500
2nd Prize in each class of Rs. 2000
3rd Prize in each class of Rs. 1500
4th Prize in each class of Rs. 1250
5th Prize in each class of Rs. 1000

The other Rank Holders from 6th to 200th will be given the following Prize Money:
6th to 10th: Rs 750 Each
11th to 20th: Rs 400 Each
21st to 35th: Rs 300 Each
36th to 55th: Rs 250 Each
56th to 80th: Rs 225 Each
81st to 110th: Rs 200 Each
111th to 150th: Rs 175 Each
151st to 200th: Rs 150 Each

The top 200 successful students from each class are awarded a Certificate of Merit and Cash prizes worth more than Rs. 3.5 lacs.

A Certificate of Participation is awarded to all other students writing the examination
