The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowships in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally talented and highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.

As you are asking for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Total Seats, so as per me there is no any official info avail on its website but last year total 1,05,000 students appear in this exam :

KVPY Exam Pattern

KVPY will be a computer based aptitude test.

Students preparing for the test must be well acquainted about the exam pattern which includes exam pattern, mode, number of papers, total number of questions etc.

The exam pattern of KVPY is given below:

5. Subject combination Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology

6. Total number of questions Stream SA: 80

Stream SB/SX: 120

7. Distribution of questions

Stream SA

Part 1: 15 questions in each subject

Part 2: 5 questions in each subject

Stream SB/SX

Part 1: 20 questions in each subject

Part 2: 10 questions in each subject

8. Total number of questions to be attempted Stream SA

All the questions are compulsory

Stream SB/SX

Part 1: Candidates can answer any three of the four subjects

Part 2: Candidates can answer any two of the four subjects

9. Total number of marks Stream SA: 100

Stream SB/SX: 120
