National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NITR), earlier Regional Engineering College Rourkela (REC Rourkela), is a freely subsidized head establishment of higher learning for designing, science and innovation situated in the steel city of Rourkela, Odisha, India. It is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India and has been perceived as an Institute of National Importance by the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007.

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology or SVNIT

The National Institute of Technology, Surat (NIT Surat), formally known as Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology or SVNIT, is a designing organization of advanced education built up by the Parliament of India in 1961. It is one of 30 National Institutes of Technology in India perceived by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance. It is the Anchor Institute for the Auto and Engineering segment and will prepare the workforce.


NIT Surat is administered by its ex officio guest, the decent President of India and the NIT Council who head the NIT authoritative structure.
