The Detials of the B. Tech. (Power Engineering) of the National Power Training Institute (NPTI) is given below

About the Course

The 4-year B.Tech. (Power Engineering) course being offered by NPTI is the first of its kind in India. The program is directed at the young aspirants who are looking for a bright career in the Power Industry, the backbone off all industrial activities.

Admission Detials

At NPTI - NR, Badarpur, New Delhi

Admissions are made to the 1st year of B.Tech.(Power Engineering) through Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by GGSIPU in May/June every year with an intake of 60 students.

Admission to NPTI (NR) in the 2nd year is through the Lateral Entry Examination conducted by GGSIPU along with the Common Entrance Test for 1st year admissions for Diploma holder candidates. There are 6 separate seats for Lateral Entry Candidates (apart from 60 for CET candidates)


At NPTI - ER, Durgapur
This course started at Durgapur Institute from financial year 2002-2003 along with other institutes and approved by AICTE and affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). Admission to this course is open through WBJEE / AIEEE.
