Default Re: IBAN Number for Standard Chartered Bank

IBAN stands for International Bank Account Number. It is the ISO 13616 worldwide standard for financial balance numbers. The IBAN encourages the correspondence and preparing of installment exchanges.

The IBAN is a global standard for distinguishing financial balances (barring charge cards). The primary reason for IBAN is to encourage the programmed handling of cash exchanges, to enhance the speed and exactness of your installment exchanges.

According to circular no 4305/2011, the UAE Central Bank is presenting the IBAN in the UAE with impact from 19 November 2011. This is a noteworthy activity profiting customers of all banks in the UAE.
