The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), ISRO carries out research in frontier areas of remote sensing and geoinformatics as an integral part of its prime objective of providing education at postgraduate level

The following policy for facilitating the external student to carry out dissertation/summer training.

IIRS will facilitate postgraduate students pursuing M.Sc. / M.Sc. (Tech.) / M.E. / M.Tech./ M.Phil. / MCA, etc. for carrying out research project, which could be submitted as a dissertation to the concerned university/institute/college

The application from undergraduate students for summer training of six to eight weeks period will be entertained as a special case only for the candidate having blood relation with the IIRS employee

Applications for attachment of postgraduate/undergraduate students are accepted during November-December for batches starting from January.
