Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is the winner of the 44th edition of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament. The sympathetic Frenchman defeated in an energetic final of almost two hours the Belgian David Goffin: 4-6, 6-4, 6-1. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is the fourth Frenchman who wins the title in Rotterdam Ahoy. Cedric Pioline (2000), Nicolas Escudé (2001 and 2002) and Michael Llodra (2008) performed the public favorite. Just after the final, Tsonga's name appeared in the championship gallery on the second ring. "I am very happy with this title," quoted 31-year-old Tsonga, who booked his 13th tournament victory on the ATP World Tour. "This title is coming at the right moment, because in recent months he has worked hard to get back to this level to come. He said he has changed a few things in my game like the service and backhand tower. He also said he is very pleased that the hard work of recent months has paid out at a tournament rate. " For David Goffin, the grapes were acidic after the first set wins. "However, he said he is pleased with this great tournament week with my first final in Rotterdam. For the tournament he did not win a match in Rotterdam. He said he leaves Rotterdam with a good feeling, because in my career for the first time he has a place conquered the top 10 of the world rankings. " ![]() ![]()
