Dr. C. V. Raman University is located in Kota, Bilaspur district in Chhattisgarh.

It was established by AISECT Group, the sponsoring body.

The University is ISO Certified: 9001-2008

Dr. C. V. Raman University is set up under section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) ACT. 1956/GOCG Act no. 29/2006.

The Education Programs are recognized and approved by National Council for Teacher’s Education (NCTE) Govt. of India.

The Law program approved by BCI

The University is recognised by the AICTE, NCTE and DEC.

It is also a Member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities).

It is also a member of International Association of Universities(IAU) France.

It is the first University in the state of Chhattisgarh to be awarded an ISO:9001-2008 Certification.

The University is also Recognized by BCI , UGC , DEC and on the year of 2016, the university got B+ grade by NAAC (The National Assessment And Accreditation Council.

The Institute of Open and Distance Education was set up in Feb, 2009 and recognized by the Distance Education Council on 1 May 2009.

Its Engineering and Management Programs of Dr. C. V. Raman University recognized and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Govt. of India.
