Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET) is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam for admission into various Science, Arts, Engineering and Law Courses offered in Campus Colleges of Andhra University (AU), Visakhapatnam, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University (BRAU), Srikakulam, P.G. Centres, and Colleges affiliated to AU & BRAU offering P.G.Courses.
AUCET Eligibility:- For PG Arts and Science courses Three year Bachelor Degree of 10+2+3 or 12+3 or 1 1+1+3 pattern Bachelor Degrees of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.A.Litt. and B.L. from Universities other than AP should be recognised by the respective University as equivalent thereto. The requirement for admission into all Science and Engineering Courses offered by these universities is a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Group Subjects (Part II) of the qualifying examination unless or otherwise specified. For SC and ST candidates, a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in group subjects (Part II) is sufficient. For Arts, Commerce and Law courses - M.Sc. Anthropology for which the requirement is a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in group subjects (Part-II) in the qualifying examination and for SC& ST candidates, a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the group subjects. The requirement for M.Ed course is a pass with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for SC & ST Candidates). AUCET Syllabus- AUCET paper consists of 90 questions which are in three parts. Part A contains 40 questions, Part B contains 30 questions and Part C contains 20 questions. Each correct answer carries one mark while every wrong answer will have a deduction of 1/4 mark. Tentative dates- • Submission of forms starts in the second week of March 2017. • Last day for application forms is in the last week of March 2017. • Hall tickets will be issued in second week of April 2017. • Exam will be in the month of May 2017. • Results will be announced in first week of June 2017.
