The full form of CG PET is Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test. It is a state level entrance test conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Chhattisgarh.

Every year, through this CG PET test candidates may apply for getting admission in various UG engineering courses offered by various government and private colleges of Chhattisgarh state.

The application form will be released in the month of March 2017.


Minimum age limit is 17 years and maximum age limit is 30 years
3 years age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates.

Candidates must have 12th Class pass with Physics, Mathematics and any one of the Biology / Chemistry / Bio-Technology as the compulsory subject.
Minimum secured Marks in 12th class for General Category is 45% and 40% marks for SC/ST candidates.

Important Dates
Online Application form Starts: 21st March, 2016
Last date of Submitting Online Application form: 9th April, 2016
Last date of submitting fees via Bank Challan: 10th April, 2016
Release date of CG PET admit card – 19th April 2016
CG PET Exam: 24th April, 2016
CG PET Result: 13th May 2016
CG PET Counselling: 13th July 2016

Exam Pattern

The exam pattern contain the details like marking scheme, no. of questions, total time etc.

The paper pattern is:
Paper Type: Objective with Multiple choice question.
No. of Questions: 150
Time duration: 3 hours
No. of Sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will carry 1 mark only
