The Delhi University is located in the New Delhi, India. Common Admission Test of English is an entrance exam conducted by Delhi University for admission to its undergraduate level programme, B.A. English .

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent, from any recognized state/national Board.

• You are required to pass the qualifying examination with not less than 60% marks in the subject of English.

• General category candidates should have a minimum of 45 %marks in the class XII board examinations
• The eligibility for OBC candidates is 40.5%

Examination Pattern

Paper One: The part one of DU CATE consists of objective type questions. No negative marking in the entrance test.

• Paper Two: Only those candidates, who have passed the part one paper are eligible for second part of the entrance test. The second part consists of only descriptive/subjective type questions.

Dates of the Exam

Starting date to apply starts from 1st week of May 2017.
• Last date to apply ends in last week of May 2017.
• Exam is conducted in the first month of June 2017.
• Declaration of results after 1 week of exam 2017.
