Hello sir, for which post May I apply in TNPSC after BDS degree? Is there any one can provide me here detail for TNPSC exam for BDS candidates?

Each and every candidates those are completed their education in dental field they may attend TNPSC exam for assistant Surgeon.

Examination details for the post of Assistant Surgeon (Dental) in Tamil Nadu Medical Service conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC).

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conducts the Examination for the post of Assistant Surgeon (Dental) in Tamil Nadu Medical Service.

Age should be below 30 years
No maximum age limit for SC/ST/MBC/DC/BC/BCM/SC(Arunthathiyar) and destitute widows of all castes.

Application fees:
Application fee Rs.30/- and Examination fees in Rs.125/-

Send application to:

The Controller of Examinations,
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC),
Commercial Taxes Annexe Building, Greams Road,
Chennai - 600 006

Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Degree in Dental Surgery of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its Grant.

Must be a Registered Medical Practitioner within the meaning of Clause(f) of Section 2 of the Dentist Act, 1948 (Central Act 16 of 1948).

Written Test
Written Test will be a single paper of objective type questions.
Dental Medicine - 300 marks
Interview and Record - 40 marks
Minimum qualifying marks for Selection
SCs, SC(A)s,STs, MBCs/ DCs, BCs(Other than BCMs), BCMs - 102 marks

Others - 136 marks
