The syllabus of NEC-011 Digital Signal Processing under Departmental Elective-I of 3rd Year of B. Tech Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering of UPTU (Uttar Pradesh Technical University), Lucknow is as follows:


1 Realization of Digital Systems: Introduction, direct form realization of IIR systems,
cascade realization of an IIR systems, parallel form realization of an IIR systems,
Ladder structures: continued fraction expansion of H(z), realization of a ladder
structure with example.

2 Design of Infinite Impulse Response Digital Filters: Introduction to All Pole Analog
Filter, Butterworth and Chebyshev, Design of Digital Butterworth and Chebyshev
Filters

3 Finite Impulse Response Filter Design: Designof FIR filters byWindowing and other commonly used Windowing Techniques, Examples of Filter Designs Using Windows, The Kaiser Window

4 Discrete Fourier Transforms: Definitions, Properties of the DFT, Circular
Convolution and Its Methodology, Linear Convolution, Examples of Circular
Convolution and Linear Convolution.

5 Fast Fourier Transform Algorithms: Introduction, Decimation –In Time(DIT)
Algorithm, Computational Efficiency, Decimation in Frequency(DIF) Algorithm,
Composite-Radix FFT
