Default Re: Delhi Technological University Eligibility

Formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi Technological University (DTU) is among the best technological universities offering admissions to B. Tech courses to the students. Admissions in DTU will be done through JEE Main Score.

There are as many as 1546 seats in various B. Tech programmes at DTU. One is given admissions to the university on the basis of their performance in JEE Main. There is no separate entrance exam for the admissions.


DTU B. Tech Eligibility Criteria:

For Delhi Region Candidates (85% of seats):
One shall pass any of the following examinations from a reputed school/college/ institute (in the National Capital Territory of Delhi).
One shall secure a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
One must have passed English as a subject of study in the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective). Passing in each subject separately is necessary.
• Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi
• Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi
• Any other exam recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the CBSE
• Bachelor of Science (General) or Bachelor of Science (Hons.) exam of a recognized university with combination of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with minimum aggregate of 60% marks


For Outside Delhi Region Candidates (15% of seats):
One must have passed any of the following examinations from a reputed School/ College/Institute (located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi).
One shall secure a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
One must have passed English as a subject of study in the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective). Passing in each subject separately is necessary.

• Bachelor of Science (General) or Bachelor of Science (Hons.) examination of a recognized university with combination of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with minimum aggregate of 60% marks
• Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi
• Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the C.B.S.E.
• Senior School Certificate Examination (12-Year Course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.) New Delhi


Age Requirement-
Applicants should be between the age of 17 and 25 years on or before the first October of the year in which they are seeking admission.
