Can you tell me about the process for downloading of applications for Windows Mobile for Mobile Banking in SBI (State bank of India)?

The Mobile Banking in SBI (State bank of India ) service is available on java enabled /Android mobile phones (with or without GPRS) /i-phones where one is required to download the application on to the mobile handset.

The service can also be availed via WAP on all phones (java/non java) with GPRS connection. The following functionalities are available:
• Funds transfer (within and outside the bank)
• Immediate Payment Services (IMPS)
• Enquiry services (Balance enquiry/ Mini statement)
• Cheque book request
• Demat Enquiry Service
• Bill Payment (Utility bills, credit cards, Insurance premium), Donations, Subscriptions
• Mobile /DTH Top up
• M Commerce (Merchant payments, SBI life insurance premium)


Downloading of applications for Windows Mobile

Download and install the State Bank Freedom Application which is available at Windows App Store

Search with Keyword "State Bank Freedom".

Get User ID & Default MPIN by sending SMS < MBSREG> to 9223440000

After login, the application will, prompt to accept the terms & conditions.

Thereafter using the option of change MPIN, the application prompts to change the channel to GPRS by sending a SMS on the format

“MBSWGAuserid10 digit number (as received through SMS) to 92234400000”

Once the channel is changed, one has to “Change the MPIN” using the first option available under the settings options of the freedom application.

For changing the default MPIN the Menu is under the settings.

Here the fields are Old MPIN : Give the Old / Default MPIN
New MPIN : The New MPIN of user choice(6 Char)
Confirm MPIN : Same New MPIN of user choice(6 Char)

Yet again, while transmitting, the application ask of MPIN, Pl give the Old / Default MPIN.

Afterward, register Account through SBI ATM or INB or at Home Branch by submitting a request form.
