The UPSC ISS and IES Exam is an important step for those planning a career as an officer in statistics and economics in government service. This exam is a combined competitive examination conducted yearly as part of recruitment for Grade IV vacancies in the Indian Economics Service (IES) and the Indian Statistical Services (ISS). Eligibility: A candidate for the Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics /Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master's degree in Statistics / Mathematical Statistics /Applied Statistics from a University Eligibility Criteria in terms of Age Candidates having the minimum age 21 years and maximum age 30 years can apply for the IES/ISS 2016 Exam. Candidates who belong to OBC/SC/ST and PH categories will get the age relaxation from minimum 3 years to maximum 10 years.
