Iím from Chattisgarh and I want to know more about National Talent Search Examination conducted by National Council of Educational Research and Training?

As you from Chattisgarh and want to know about National Talent Search Examination conducted by National Council of Educational Research and Training here I will gather details for you.

Eligibility
Students studying in class X, across India are eligible for NTSE examination and scholarship programmes.

The NTSE awards 1000 scholarships to students who successfully completes the examination and scores relevant marks as per the eligibility criteria.

1,000 scholarships will be awarded under the NTSE criteria:

Rs 1250 per month for Class 11th and 12th level
Rs 2000 per month for UG and PG level
Amount for Phd to be fixed in accordance with UGC norms

Exam Pattern
NTSE Stage-I examination at State/UT level are advised to follow National pattern which comprise of two parts MAT and SAT.
Part-I: Mental Ability Test (MAT)

Part-II: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) also includes Language Comprehensive Test.

NTSE Stage II Exam Pattern
Paper I : Mental Ability Test (MAT)
No. of Questions: 50
No. of Marks: 50
Duration: 45 Min

Paper II : Language Test (LT) English/Hindi
No. of Questions: 50
No. of Marks: 50
Duration: 45 Min

Paper III : Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
No. of Questions: 100
No. of Marks: 100
Duration: 90 Min

Selection procedure
The NTSE will be Selects only the scholars only on the basis of the scores achieved in the final National level test.

NCERT selects only those candidates who have successfully achieved the required score in the final stage of the examination and provide scholarships depending on the merit.

At Level-I, selection is done at State or UT level through a written examination. After qualifying Level-I a student appears for Level-II, which is conducted by NCERT nationally.
