Mangalore University has launched Correspondence Education Programmes as per the National Education Policy to reach higher education to all sections of the society. It tries to promote higher education through non-formal means, specifically through correspondence mode.

It team up with national and international educational organizations to sponsor excellence in non-formal education and encourage disadvantaged and weaker sections to acquire essential skills, information and knowledge to get by with the demands of rising new professions in a fast changing global society.
