Prof. R. K. Sinha is the Director of CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation. Prof. Sinha has assumed control over the charge of Director, CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIO), Chandigarh with impact from July 02, 2015 Prof. R. K. Sinha got M. Sc. degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India, in 1984, and Ph.D. degree in the territory of Fiber Optics and Optical Communication Technology from the IIT, Delhi, India, in 1990. Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIO), a constituent unit of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is a head national lab devoted to research, configuration and advancement of investigative and mechanical instruments. It is a multi-disciplinary and multi-dimensional peak mechanical exploration and advancement association in the nation to invigorate development of Instrument Industry in India covering wide range and applications.
