General Intelligence & Reasoning:
There can be some questions asked from, spatial visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, arithmetic reasoning, spatial orientation, visual memory, analogies, similarities and differences.

Algebra Basic algebra, polynomials, Arithmetic Simple & compound interest, installments, taxation, percentage , shares & dividends, Ratio & proportion, time, distance & work, profit & loss, Mensuration, Problem on Ages, Pipes & Cisterns, Investment etc. From Data Interpretation Use of Tables and Graphs, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar-diagram, Pie chart, Pictorial Graph, Algebra Basic algebra, factors & simplification.

General Awareness:
The question can be asked from Indian Polity, Geography, Economy, Current Events etc. Focus will be on Current national & International events, banking, sports etc. The questions can also cover the question from finance and marketing. Focus will be on News related to Railway, Rail Budget, and New Technologies & Reform in Indian Railway, Indian History,

General Science:
Questions will be ask from Daily use science. Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Zoology. The Questions will belong to Basic Concept of Science (Class 12th standard).

Mechanical Engineering:
Theory of Machines, Design for static and dynamic loading, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, Power Engineering, Steam Tables, Rankine, Brayton cycles with regeneration and reheat, I.C. Engines: air-standard Otto, Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Diesel cycles, Metal Casting, Machining and Machine Tool Operations, Metrology and Inspection.

Electrical Engineering:
Electric Circuits and Fields, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Control Systems, Electrical and Electronic Measurements, Basics of Circuits and Measurement Systems, Analog and Digital Electronics, Power Electronics and Drives. In Electrical Engineering Key Subject for RRB exam is Electrical Machines, Basics of circuit & Power Electronics, Signals and Systems

Electronics Engineering:
Electronic Devices: Energy bands in silicon, intrinsic and extrinsic silicon. Carrier transport in silicon: drift current, diffusion current, mobility, and resistivity. Generation and recombination of carriers.p-n junction diode, Zener diode, tunnel diode, BJT, JFET, MOS, MOSFET, LED, p-I-n and avalanche photo diode, Analog Circuits, Varactor Diode, Digital Circuits, Control System & Communication Basic , Signal & Systems. For Electronics & Communications people focus on Basic & Fundamental Electronics Concept, Signal & Systems, Wireless Communication, Antennas, Arrays, EMFT.

Computers Engineering:
MS Office, Computer fundamentals & organization, C , , Information systems, DBMS, Operating systems, UNIX, SAD, Data & Network communication, Software Engineering, Computer Networks, Databases, Algorithms, Web technology & programming, System programming, C++ & Java language.

Instrumentation & Measurement:
Transducers, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Signal Systems, Measurement System, Process Control, Control Systems & Instrumentation, Mechanical Measurement and Industrial Instrumentation. More weight age will be given to Basics of Circuits and Measurement Systems, Transducers, Measurement & Control Systems.
