1. Day care treatment where 24 hours of hospitalization is not required for treatments like dialysis, chemotherapy, eye surgery, lithotripsy, etc., undertaken in a hospital

2. Domiciliary hospitalization where care and treatment is taken at home exceeding 3 days for disease, illness or injury

3. Critical Illness covered:
o Cancer
o First Heart Attack
o Coronary Artery Disease
o Coronary Artery bypass surgery
o Heart Valve Surgery
o Surgery to Aorta
o Stroke
o Kidney Failure
o Aplastic Anemia
o End Stage Lung Disease
o End Stage Liver Failure
o Coma
o Major Burns
o Major Organ/Bone Marrow Transplantation
o Multiple Sclerosis
o Fulminant Hepatitis
o Motor Neurone Disease
o Primary Pulmonary Hypertension
o Terminal Illness
o Bacterial Meningitis

1. Hospitalization expenses for treatment taken for disease or illness within 30 days of inception of the policy. This clause is not applicable on subsequent renewals.

2. First 2 years exclusions include -
o Cataract, laser surgery
o Myomectomy, Hysterectomy unless because of malignancy
o Dilation and curettage
o Hernia, Hydrocele, fistula in anus, sinusitis, hemorrhoids/piles
o Joint replacement, unless due to accident
o All types of skin and all internal tumors / cysts / nodules / polyps of any kind, including breast lumps, unless malignant
o Dialysis required for chronic renal failure
o Gastric and duodenal erosions & ulcers

3. Permanent exclusions
o Routine medical, eye and ear examinations, cost of spectacles
o Dental treatment
o Circumcision, sex change or treatment
o Birth control procedures, hormone replacement therapy, caesarean section, fertility or conception operation
o Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and related diseases/illness related to HIV
