SIU MBA Program

Hello sir I want to take admission in Southern Illinois University for Master of Business Administration Program so will you please tell me what are the admission requirement for this Program??

Southern Illinois University is a public research university located in Carbondale, Illinois, United States.

Founded in 1869, SIU is the flagship campus of the Southern Illinois University system.

Master of Business Administration Program prepares students for managerial positions in business and government. You’ll learn business leadership skills and strengthen your brand through a program include core business coursework and the option of concentrations in a variety of areas.

Admission Requirements:
$65 Non-refundable application fee
2.7 GPA (on a 4.0 grading scale) on approximately the last two years of your Bachelor's degree
Minimum TOEFL score of 550 / 213 / 80 for International Students and some citizens / PR's; some departments require a higher score.
English requirement may also be met in some cases with U.S. course work and/or various additional English testing.

Accounting BA 510 Managerial Accounting & Control Concepts
Finance BA 530 Financial Management
Management BA 540 Management & Org. Behavior
Marketing BA 550 Marketing Management
Management of Info Systems BA 560 Management Information Systems
International Requirement (Global Marketing, International Finance, or study abroad course)
Policies BA 598 Business Policies
Electives (4) (as chosen)


Concentrations
All MBA students must take 4 electives. If the student chooses, he/she may specialize in Finance or Marketing by taking 3 related courses.

If the student does not wish to obtain a concentration in a specialized area, he/she may take any four electives from the General Business Concentration section.


Finance Concentration
Students must complete three of the following 3-credit hour courses:

-BA 531 Advanced Financial Management
-BA 532 Financial Institutions and Markets
-BA 533 Investment Concepts
-BA 536 Financial Analysis and Security Valuation
-BA 582 International Finance

Marketing Concentration
Students must take three, 3-hour elective courses from the following:
-BA 505 Brand Management
-BA 551 Product Strategy and Management
-BA 558 Promotional Strategy and Management
-BA 581 Global Marketing
