As you have asked about the three year Juris Doctor (JD)/ Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) program offered by Columbia Law School, I am giving you information about it, check below for the details

The Columbia Three-Year J.D./M.B.A. Program prepares students for effective and creative leadership at the intersection of business and law.

The Columbia Three-Year J.D./M.B.A. Program is designed for highly motivated students who seek a deep education in both law and business, and who wish to complete their studies and enter the job market a year earlier than traditional joint-degree programs allow

Applications for admission to the Columbia Three-Year J.D./M.B.A. Program, which enables students to simultaneously pursue a Juris Doctor at Columbia Law School and a Master’s of Business Administration at Columbia Business School, must be filed separately at each school.

The deadline to apply to each of the Law School and the Business School for the Three-Year J.D./M.B.A. class entering in August 2016 is February 15, 2016.
Candidates for the Columbia Three-Year J.D./M.B.A. Program must select the option within the respective applications indicating their intent to apply.
To receive consideration for admission to the Three-Year J.D./M.B.A. Program under the Early Decision Plan, you must submit a timely application to both the Business School and the Law School under each of their respective Early Decision Plans.
Such applications will not be evaluated by either school until complete applications have been submitted at both schools.

The Law School renders decisions on a rolling basis, but generally after February 15 and no later than April 30 of each admissions cycle. The Business School generally renders decisions within six to eight weeks following the completion of an application.

For candidates applying simultaneously, and prior to matriculation at the Law School, applications will not be evaluated by each school’s admissions committee until both applications have been completed.

Students spend the first year at the Law School, the second year at the Business School, and the third year taking a combination of law and business courses, some of which will count toward both degree requirements.
Under this program, students will still have flexibility to take three or four law courses in other disciplinary areas outside of business law.
The program also enables students to take Business School electives in areas unrelated to business law.
