As you want to apply for British Airways Future Pilots Programme

How To Apply For Fpp-

The BA Future Pilot Programme (FPP) is now closed.

Please check back for future updates.

Within this application, you will be asked to provide your basic details plus the educational and employment experience information you wish to be considered for the program.

The application form will also require you to submit a CV and cover letter detailing your motivations for applying to the BA Future Pilot Programme.

It would recommend that you allow due time in advance of completing the application to make sure you may give careful thought to and prepare properly your cover letter.

Finally you will be asked to select one of the three flight training organizations participating in the BA Future Pilot Programme as your choice of Training Provider.

The Why Oxford Page offers you further guidance as to why you might wish to nominate us.
Do you qualify for the BA Future Pilot Programme? Review the entry criteria below to find out.

Entry Requirements-

this exceptional programme is open to any aspiring pilots, from school leavers through to those changing career, who meet the following criteria:

Aged between 18 - 55 on 1st September 2015

Achieved 5 GCSEs (excluding general studies) at grade C or above (or equivalent) including Mathematics, English language and a Science subject (single or double award) plus either one of the following:

Three A-Levels (excluding General Studies) at grades BBC or above (or equivalent).

An Honours degree at 2:2 or above, or a Pass in a higher degree such as MSC, MA, MPhil, PhD or MBA.

Please note that academic qualifications must have been achieved upon submission of application.

If you believe you have equivalent qualifications to those set out above, then you may still apply but you will be asked to provide a Letter of Comparability from UK NARIC

You must also:-

Have the right to live and work in the UK.

Hold a valid passport and have the ability to travel globally without restriction.

Be fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Be able to obtain a Class 1 Medical. (For more information please visit www.caa.co.uk).
In order to meet the high standards expected throughout both the CAE Oxford Aviation
Academy training program and a career with British Airways, we are seeking applicants who:

Are talented, incredibly motivated and committed to excel during this demanding training program.

Have excellent communication skills.

Can keep a cool head under pressure.

Have the ability to solve complex problems using verbal and mathematical reasoning.

Some flying or gliding experience would of course be beneficial, but is not essential.

Candidates who are interested in this programme must also be available to commence training between Autumn 2015 and Autumn 2016 as it will not be possible to defer a place on a training programme beyond this timeframe.
