The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is a security force of India entrusted with protecting railway passengers, passenger area and railway property of the Indian Railways
The Force is under the authority of Ministry of Railways (India).
The recruitment process of Railway Protection Force includes different stages like
Stage 1: Written Exam
Stage 2: PET & PMT
Stage 3: Document Verification
Stage 4: Medical Examination
Stage 5: Final Selection & Training

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test
The PET will consist of three events mentioned in the table below. A candidate has to qualify in all the events to be declared qualified in PET. All the events are compulsory to qualify. However, no marks will be awarded for any of the events.
The minimum qualifying standard for each event is specified as under.

800 meters Within 03 min 40 sec One
Long Jump Minimum 12 feet Two
High Jump Minimum 03 feet Two

Event of 800 meters run will be held first of all. Only those candidates who complete 800 meter run within 3 min 40 sec will take part in the next two events of the RPF & RPSF women constable PET.
The candidates pass all three events of PET will be measured for PMT i.e. Physical measurement test. Candidate, who fails in any of the PET or PMT event, will be declared “disqualified”.

Written exam pattern:
-The written examination will be of OMR based MCQ type test.
-The RPF & RPSF Female constable exam 2016 will comprise of 120 MCQ (multiple choice objective) type questions. Each question will carry one mark.
-The test duration for above test will be 90 minutes.
-The level of questions in the RPF & RPSF women constable exam paper shall be of matriculation standard.
-There is negative marking schem
