Eligibility Criteria

Soldier (General Duty) (All Arms)
SSLC/Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 32% in each subject. No percentage considered in case candidate has passed higher qualification ie 10+2 and above.
Age Limit: 17 ½ - 21 Yrs

Soldier (Technical) (Technical Arms, Artillery, Army Air Defence)
10+2 / Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject. (simple pass in 10+2 with requisite subjects is acceptable upto 31 Mar 2013).
Age Limit: 17 ½ - 23 Yrs

Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper Technical (All Arms)
10+2 / Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject. Should have studied and passed English and Maths/Accts/Book Keeping in Cl X or Cl XII with 40% marks in each subject. In case of graduate with Maths and English as subject in BSc, the stipulation of 40% in Cl X or Cl XII is waived off. In case of graduate without English and Maths/Accts/Book Keeping, he should have scored more than 40% in English and Maths/Accts/Book Keeping at least once in Cl X or Cl XII.
Age Limit: 17 ½ - 23 Yrs

Indian Army Junior Commissioned Officers Eligibility Criteria

Indian army is the 2nd largest standing army in the world, larger than that of People’s Republic of China and still it is short of manpower. There are normally four divisions of Indian army namely, Officer, Junior Commissioned Officer, Warrant Officer, Non Commissioned. Recruitment of all Commissioned Officers in the Armed Forces is mainly through the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) which organizes an all-India competitive exam called the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE), twice a year. University graduates can apply for this exam. After completing the exam, candidates can join the respective training academies. There are many way to join Indian Army like Direct entry, in this way, graduate cadets, who join on qualifying in the Union Public Service Commission Examination and the Services Selection Board.

You want to apply for Junior Commissioned Officers post in Indian Army so there is no any scheme for direct entry. Candidate should have to attend in exam which is conduct for this post.

(a) The recruitment will be carried out through all the HQ Recruiting Zones, IRO Delhi Cantt, Ladakh Scout Regt Centre Leh and JAKLI Regt Centre Srinagar.
(b) Submission of Application : Application duly filled as per performa given in the advertisement will be submitted by the candidate alongwith the required documents duly super scribed (APPLICATION FOR JCO (RT) COURSE NO 71) on top outer cover of envelope to the HQ Rtg Zone / IRO Delhi Cantt / Ladakh Scout Regtl Centre Leh / JAK LI Regtl Trg Centre Srinagar of which the individual is a permanent native / resident latest by 12 Jan 2013. They can appear for written exam only from the place of domicile. Application submitted to a different org of which the candidate is not domicile of will be rejected. Postal Addresses of all Headquarters Recruiting Zones & concerned Regimental Centres are given at Para 6.
(c) Candidates found eligible will be issued call up letters by the concerned office/ recruiting organisation for initial screening which will include checking of original certificates followed by medical examination.
(d) The screened candidates will be put through written examination which will be conducted on 24 Feb 2013 and will comprise of two papers as follows :-
PAPER I : (Maximum Marks -100). This will contain objective type questions on general awareness and will be common to candidates of all Religious denominations.
PAPER II : (Maximum Marks -100). This will test the knowledge specific to particular religious denomination to which the candidate belongs. The paper may be answered in English or Hindi.
