The University of Melbourne is an Australian public research university located in Melbourne, Victoria whish was founded in 1853. According to QS World University Subject Rankings 2015, the University of Melbourne is ranked 5th in the world for education, 8th in law, 13th in computer science and IT, 13th in arts and humanities, 14th in accounting and finance, 14th in dentistry and 18th in medicine.

University of Melbourne Fee

In 2015 the student contribution amounts for study at University of Melbourne range from $6,152 to $10,266.for a full-time enrolment for Domestic Undergraduate Students. In 2016, student contribution amounts range from $6,256 to $10,440.

The total amount you are charged is the sum of the fees for all subjects in which you enroll.

Band 1
Humanities, behavioral science, social studies, education, clinical psychology, foreign languages, visual and performing arts, nursing

$6,256 per standard year

$782 per standard subject (12.5 credit points)

Band 2
Mathematics, statistics, computing, built environment, other health, allied health, science, engineering, surveying, agriculture

$8,917 per standard year

$1,114 per standard subject (12.5 credit points)

Band 3
Law, accounting, administration, economics, commerce, dentistry, medicine, veterinary science

$10,440 per standard year

$1,305 per standard subject (12.5 credit points)

Other costs

Costs associated with my course
Depending on course there may be textbooks and other equipment that is required as part of study which may also need to buy special items such as art materials or a lab coat.

Accommodation, living and other costs
Remember to factor in accommodation, food and weekly bills, transport and other services.
Some University club memberships, Melbourne University Sport services or Student Union activities may charge additional fees.
