The English and Foreign Languages University was launched in 1958. The university has its campuses at Shillong and Lucknow. Its Lucknow campus started working in 1979 to give training to teachers of university/college. The Lucknow campus is located in the Moti Mahal Campus, Rana Pratap Marg, Lucknow.
