As you asking for the Minimum passing marks for the CPT Examination let me tell you that there is Latest updates of CA CPT December 2014 Exam Date-30% Passing Marks Rule for the Common Proficiency Test shall ordinarily be declared to have passed the test if he obtains at one sitting a minimum of thirty per cent marks in each section and a minimum of fifty per cent marks in the aggregate of all the sections, subject to the principle of negative marking, in such manner as may be determined by the Council, from time to time.”

CA CPT 30% Passing Mark Rule :
Details of the 30% Passing Mark Rule :-
1. Minimum of 30% marks in each of the four sections/subjects.
2. Minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of all the sections/subjects

You must have get 100 marks with 30% at least in each of the sections/subjects to crack the CPT exam.
To pass CPT you have to obtained a minimum of 30 percent marks in each Section and a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate of all Sections,

1. First session: Morning session
10:30 am to 12:30 pm -(Section A-Fundamental of Accounting)- 60 Marks
Minimum marks : 18
- (Section B- Mercantile Laws) - 40 Marks
Minimum marks : 12

2. Second session: Afternoon session
2pm to 4 pm -(Section C- General Economics) - 50 Marks
Minimum marks : 15
(Section D- Quantitative Aptitude) - 50 Marks
Minimum marks : 15
