NPTI Delhi offers four year Degree course in Power Engineering, which is the first of its kind in India. The course is designed to have equivalence to mechanical/Electrical Engineering proficiency and recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is affiliated to GGSIPU University, DELHI.

Eligibility for B.Tech Power Engineering

- You should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) with English, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics or an equivalent examination. I
- In case of Lateral entry, you should pass the diploma in Mech- /Elect. Engg. from Govt. approved polytechnic college.
- You should maintain good mental and physical health. No abnormality in heart, Lungs and vision.

B.Tech Power Engineering Admission detail --
-Admissions are made to the 1st year of B.Tech.(Power Engineering) through Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by GGSIPU in May/June every year with an intake of 60 students.
-Admission to NPTI (NR) in the 2nd year is through the Lateral Entry Examination conducted by GGSIPU along with the Common Entrance Test for 1st year admissions for Diploma holder candidates.
-There are 6 separate seats for Lateral Entry Candidates (apart from 60 for CET candidates)
