CBSE Rules For Admission To Class 11

I am looking to take admission to the 11th class can you please help me by providing the rules to take admission as set up by the CBSE?

As you are looking to get admission to the 11th class here are some of the guidelines that will help you-

Following are the general guidelines to take admission to A CBSE school-

A student seeking admission to any class in a 'School' will be eligible for admission to that Class only if he :

(i) has been studying in a School recognised by or affiliated by CBSE or any other recognised Board of Secondary Education in India;

(ii) the student has passed the qualifying or equivalent qualifying examination making him eligible for admission to that Class;

(iii) the students satisfies the requirements of age limits (minimum and maximum) as determined by the State/U. T. Government in which the school is and applicable to the place where the School is located;

(iv) the students Produces the following:

(a) The School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate of the previous school signed by the Head of the Institution last attended and countersigned, if required as provided elsewhere,

(b) Document(s) in support of his having passed the qualifying or equivalent qualifying examination; and

(c) Date of Birth Certificate issued by the Registrar of Birth and Deaths, proof of date of birth.


Admission to Class XI of any school : -

Admission to class XI in a school shall be only fro those students who have passed :

(a) Secondary School Examination (Class X examination) conducted by CBSE; or any other board of the country.

(b) the students has passed an equivalent examination conducted by any other recognised Board of Secondary Education/ Indian University and recognised by CBSE as equivalent to its secondary school examination.
