What is the maximum age limit required for applying to Government Job???? Indian Engineering Services (IES) are the civil services that meet the technical and managerial functions of the Government of India. IES officers are selected by the union government on the recommendations made by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Eligibility Criteria: Nationality: A citizen of India, or A citizen of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Government raised the limit to 40 years for entry into Govt service in Group C and D only. The minimum age is unchanged i.e.18 years. -The age relaxation for the SC / ST candidates fixed at 45 years and that for OBC / PH candidates at 43 years. -For candidates belonging to OBC and physically handicapped, the maximum age limit has been raised to 43 -For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe it has been raised to 45. Age limit Post Wise-- Bank Clerk: 18 to 28 year Bank PO: 20 to 30 year Railway: 18 to 33 year IAS: 21 to 30 year IPS: 21 to 35 year SSC CGL: 21 to 27 year SSC LDC/DEO: 18 to 27 year Teaching Sector: 21 to 35 year
