M.Tech. Electrical Engineering is a postgraduate Electrical Engineering course which is of two years duration in general. M.Tech. (Electrical Engineering) programs in India are usually structured as an Engineering Research degree, lesser than Ph.D.

I think the same branch is best to do post graduation so M.Tech. Electrical Engineering is best after B.Tech Electrical Engineering.

M.Tech. Electrical Engineering or Master of Technology in Electrical Engineering is a postgraduate Electrical Engineering course. The duration of the course is 2 years.

M.Tech. Electrical Engineering Eligibility

B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent examination.

Candidate who has passed in the Associate Membership of the Institute of Engineers (AMIE) examination with appropriate specialization in Electrical Engineering

Some of the very reputed universities and institutes take admission on the basis of entrance examination

Generally, the admission is through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Score Merit List.
