Yes you can apply for the National Eligibility test (NET). I will give you eligibility Criteria so that it will be clear to you.

Eligibility:

Candidate must have master degree with at least 55% marks form the UGC recognized Institute.
Candidates who are in final year or waiting for the result are also eligible to apply. But He should show mark sheet at the time of interview.
Candidates are advised to appear in the subjects of their post graduation only.

Age Criteria:

Junior Research Fellowship: Age not more than 28 years till the date of respective month.
Assistant Professor: There is no upper age.

How to apply: for NET exam the application are send through online, follow the below step to apply online.

Go to the official website of the CBSE for NET exam.
In this page click on the Application Form for NET Bottom avail at the bottom of the page.
After that click on the Apply for NET Button avail at bottom left of the page.
Fill you complete application Form
Upload your scanned photograph
Pay you application fee.
After that print your application Form.
