Kerala Law Entrance Examination is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Thiruvananthapuram for admission in to 5 year L.L.B course, 3 year L.L.B course and 2 year L.L.M course.

Eligibility:
For 5 year LLB Course:
Candidate should have passed senior secondary school education or its equivalent exam from Kerala or any other exam board accredited through Kerala University with minimum 40% aggregate marks.

For 3 year LLB Course:
Applicant should have passed his bachelor degree not less than 40% aggregate marks from an accredited university or Kerala university.

For 3 year LLB Course:
Candidate should have passed his 5 or 3 year LLB program from the University of Kerala or other accredited university are eligible to appear in the test

LEE 2014 Important Dates (tentative)
Online Applications from: 2nd week of June 2014
Last date for submitting Online Applications: 3rd week of June 2014
Last date for receipt of application at CEE office: Last week of June 2014
Download of Admit Card: 1st week of July 2014
KLEE 2014 exam date: 2nd week of July 2014

KLEE or Kerala Law Entrance Examination is conducted by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala for admission into LLB (5 Years), LLB (3 Years) and two-year LLM program. For admission in the above mentioned programs in government colleges of the state, the candidates have to appear in this entrance examination.

Syllabus

Kerala Law Entrance Examination has no particular set of syllabus for 5 year L.L.B. course and 3 year L.L.B. course.

One appearing in the entrance examination for these programs should study current affairs through newspapers, books etc. and should practice, English grammar exercises.

One appearing for L.L.M entrance exam should study following subjects thoroughly- Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Law of Crimes and Law of Contracts, Public International Law, Administrative Law, Law of Property, Company Law, Interpretation of statutes and Law of Torts.

Examination Pattern
Kerala Law Entrance Examination (KLEE) is among the competitive entrance examination of legal education in the country.

The duration of test for 5 year L.L.B. course and 3 year L.L.B. course is three hours.

The test paper consists of the following three parts.
The test paper consists of 200 objective questions with multiple options.
The test paper is divided into the following three parts.

• Part I - comprises of 65 questions from General Knowledge.
• Part II- comprises of 65 questions fromEnglish.
• Part III- comprises of 70 questions fromAptitude for Legal Studies.

Every correct answer fetches 3 marks and every wrong answer will deduct 1 mark from the total.
More than one answer indicated against a question will also be considered as wrong and no marks are deducted for not attempting any question.

For L.L.M course, two separate objective papers with multiple options are conducted. Each test paper is of 100 marks and of 90 minutes of duration.
The entrance examination will be of LLB standard.
First paper includes 25 questions each from the following subjects.
• Jurisprudence
• Constitutional Law
• Law of Crimes
• Law of Contracts

Second paper consists of 100 questions in total, out of which 80 questions (20 from each) are asked from the subjects listed below.
• Public International Law
• Administrative Law
• Law of Property
• Company Law

Rest of the 20 questions (10 each) is from the following topics
• Interpretation of statutes
• Law of Torts

For every correct answer, 3 marks are given and for every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted.

More than one answer marked against a question will be considered as wrong answer and no marks are deducted for not answering any question.
