As you want to get the application form and the eligibility criteria of Central Teacher Eligibility Test so here is the information of the same for you:

I want to tell you that as on 5 April 2014 the dates of Central Teacher Eligibility Test have been passed so here for your reference I am giving you those dates and those dates can be taken as tentative for the year of 2015:

Important Dates:
DATE OF EXAMINATION PAPER TIMING DURATION
16.02.2014 PAPER - II 09.30 TO 12.00 HOURS 2.30 HOURS
16.02.2014 PAPER - I 14.00 TO 16.30 HOURS 2.30 HOURS

Application Fees:
CATEGORY Only Paper – I or II Both Paper – I & II
General/OBC Rs.500/- Rs.800/-
SC/ST/Differently Abled Person Rs.250/- Rs.400/-

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

Or

Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

Or

Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Or

Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

Or

Candidates must have passed Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts recruitment of Teachers for Classes I to VIII through Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).

Name of Exam:
Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET – Feb 2015)

Important dates:
The last date of applying
8th Jan 2015

The examination will be held on the
22nd Feb 2015

Eligibility


The candidates having the following minimum educational qualification are eligible for appearing in CTET

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education or;

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; or

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed); or

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education); or

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education

Exam pattern
The CTET examination will be of objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ’s); there will be no negative marking; there will be 2 papers of CTET:

Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V

Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII

Application Fees

For Paper-I or Paper-II (one of these): Rs.600/- (General/OBC)/ Rs.300/- (SC/ST/Diff. Abled)

For Paper-I and Paper-II (both): Rs.1000/- (General/OBC)/ Rs.500/- (SC/ST/Diff. Abled)
