DRDO is Defense Research and Development Organization which is India’s defense research organization for developing defense weapons. Defense Research and Development Organization develops many war related machinery for defense forces

Defense Research and Development Organization exam is the exam conducted by the DRDO every year. This is for engineering student.

Education Qualification:

The minimum education qualification for this exam is that you have at least B.E/ B.Tech in any of the following:
Electronics & Communication Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Computer Science & Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
from a recognized University.

Age
There is a maximum age relaxation in this exam for the following candidates:

5 years in case of SC/ST.
3 years in case of OBC.
5 years for Physically Handicapped Persons (10 years for SC/ST and 08 years for OBC candidates)
Ex-serviceman 3 years.

Nationality

Only Indian nationals need apply.

Candidates appearing in the final examination (final semester) may also apply.

Defence Research Development Organization (DRDO) every year conducts the SET (Scientists Entry Test) for short listing eligible applicants in the post of Scientist.

DRDO-SET is normally conducted on all India basis on 1st Sunday of September every year

DRDO SET Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

At least first class Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Following Branches:

Electronics & Communication Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Computer Science & Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Instrumentation Engineering
Metallurgical Engineering.
First class Master's Degree in Science in Chemistry/Physics from a recognized University in respective/relevant discipline

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 28 years

It is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/HH/OH candidates
Age is also relaxable for Armed Forces Personnel as per rules in vogue.

Nationality

Only Indian nationals need apply.

Exam Paper Pattern:

The exam for the DRDO CEPTAM shall be held in the following two stages:

1. Written Exam
2. Interview

The candidates will be required to qualify in both the exams of DRDO.

The written test shall be held in the objective modes having multiple choice based questions on the following:

Section I: Subject Knowledge Specific Questions (100 Questions) 400 Marks

Section II: Aptitude for Applied Research & Development (50 Questions)

Total Number of Questions: 150

Total Marks Allotted: 500

Distribution of Marks for Aptitude for Applied Research & Development:

LR (Logical Relations) 10 Questions – 20 Marks

Spatial Reasoning (10 Questions) 20 Marks

Concept Formation (10 Questions) 20 Marks

Numerical Reasoning (10 Questions) 20 Marks and

Abstract Reasoning (10 Questions) 20 Marks

Total Allotted Marks: 100
