Default Re: How to prepare for JECA exam

West Bengal conducts WB JECA (West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam) for the admission to MCA programs.

WB JECA Syllabus--
Reasoning
Discrete Quantitative Analysis
Data Interpretation
Problem Solving
Quantitative Comparison

JECA study material for Preparation

Aptitude Test : Data Interpretation, Discrete Quantitative Analysis, Problem Solving, Quantitative Comparison, Reasoning.

Data Interpretation : From Pie chart, diagrams questions will be asked. One should ready keenly and use some numerical and mathematical techniques to attempt this section.

You don’t need to have studied mathematics to a high level to succeed. These questions are primarily tests of interpretation and the math needed is invariably straightforward.

You will usually be allowed to use a calculator for these types of question and investing in one which can handle fractions and percentages is a good idea. You should also try to work through a few numerical computation practice papers to get back into the swing of these types of calculation.

Discrete Quantitative Analysis : Memorize a list of facts and formulae to help you save time during the test. Try adding two or more equations to get the result instead of solving each one individually. Some discrete quantitative questions do not require that you solve the equations given. Eliminate answer choices when you can. If you know that certain answer choices are too high or low, toss them out. Then you can focus on the feasible choices.

Problem Solving, Quantitative comparison : Regular practice is required to solve these sections. Test takers should try to solve as many question papers as possible. Try to do more online test to keep us the clock management skill.

Keen reading, understanding, and mathematical abilities are must to attend questions from the said subjects.

Reasoning : Better to prepare from the resources like books, puzzles and online exams. Attending more tests in online, practicing plenty of QBs from books would be quite enough to score well in this section.

If the main keys such as Clock Management, Confidence, and strategy are amalgamated, then success is foolproof.

Mathematics Test : Analytical Geometry, Calculus, Probability & Statistics.

Basic Mathematics, Higher secondary and UG level Mathematics should be practiced along with formulae, theorems. Every day as routine the formulae should be recited.
