As on your request I am sharing GATE Exam pattern details along with paper:
There will be two types of questions– multiple choice and numerical type
The GATE 2014 Exam Paper will be for 3 hours of duration with 65 questions for 100 marks.
The exam is conducted in two modes - offline and online.
Online exam is conducted usually in mid January.
Offline exam is conducted on second Sunday of February every year.

Here I am providing few questions of GATE Computer Science exam.
Which of the following transport layer protocols is used to support electronic mail?
(A) SMTP
(B) IP
(C) TCP
(D) UDP

In the IPv4 addressing format, the number of networks allowed under Class C addresses
(A) 214
(B) 27
(C) 221
(D) 224

Let G be a simple undirected planar graph on 10 vertices with 15 edges. If G is a connected graph,then the number of bounded faces in any embedding of G on the plane is equal to
(A) 3
(B) 4
(C) 5
(D) 6

Let W(n) and A(n) denote respectively, the worst case and average case running time of an algorithm executed on an input of size n. Which of the following is ALWAYS TRUE?
(A) A(n) = Ω (W(n))
(B) A(n) = Θ (W(n))
(C) A(n) = O (W(n))
(D) A(n) = o (W(n))

The amount of ROM needed to implement a 4 bit multiplier is
(A) 64 bits
(B) 128 bits
(C) 1 Kbits
(D) 2 Kbits

Computer Science Engineering has been the most chosen engineering branch for last few years. Computer science does have applications in various IT companies and CSE do have highest placement rate from all other branches.

Syllabus for Computer Science and Information Technology (CS)

ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS

Mathematical Logic: Propositional Logic; First Order Logic.

Probability: Conditional Probability; Mean, Median, Mode and Standard Deviation; Random Variables; Distributions; uniform, normal, exponential, Poisson, Binomial.

Set Theory & Algebra: Sets; Relations; Functions; Groups; Partial Orders; Lattice; Boolean Algebra.

Combinatory: Permutations; Combinations; Counting; Summation; generating functions; recurrence relations; asymptotics.

Graph Theory: Connectivity; spanning trees; Cut vertices & edges; covering; matching; independent sets; Colouring; Planarity; Isomorphism.

COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
