Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) is the premium institute for study in agricultural education. IARI only offers PG (Master Degree) and Ph. D (Doctorate Degree Course). For PG course, students can take admission only via ICAR’s JRF Exam and for admission to PhD Courses in 22 disciplines, there is separate exam conducted by IARI as “IARI PhD Entrance Exam”.

Exam Pattern:
Stage-A: One paper of two parts: Part I (General Agriculture) and Part II (Subject Paper)
Stage-B: Interview (With Wightage of MSc thesis + and academic score up to matric (X standard) onwards)

Total No of Questions:
From Part I (General Agri)- 30 MCQs (with four choice)
From Part II (Subject paper)- 120 MCQs & CMQs + 5 Written Questions

Exam Scoring Scheme:
Written entrance examination (70% weightage) + academic score (20% weightage) + interview (10% weightage).
